Marmozets arrived to the stage in very dim light before an array of green and purples lit up the stage, their set was full of energy and charisma you’d have thought you were at their headline show.

After an array of songs Becca states this was their last song as it was time for the boys in You Me At Six, the room grumble at the fact this was there last song, Becca continued to say “Hey don’t worry we’ll be back soon touring all over the place” before going into ‘Major System Error’.

Tonight at the O2 Academy Birmingham You Me At Six bring their headline tour to the venue for a sold out show. As well as the headline dates they have been performing special anniversary shows to celebrate the 10 year release of their debut album ‘Take Off Your Colours’ where they will play it in its entirety.

As we’re awaiting You Me At Six to play their sold out show and to take to the stage the room starts to fill up with smoke but I think someone went a little overkill on the button as it soon looked like a scene from Gorillas in the mist, luckily it just about cleared in time for the band to take to the stage.

You Me At Six start the night off with electro-rock track ‘Fast Forward’ taken from their recent album ‘VI’. Max, Josh and Chris take to the front of the stage while Matt and Dan stood further back on a stage that was built with LEDs.

The set list varied with recent hits and some nostalgic treats for the fans. The crowd were electric when the band played ‘Bite My Tongue’ from the ‘Sinners Never Sleep’ album.

The night ended with head-bopping and fist-pumping for ‘Underdog’.
