Having dipped in and out of Maxïmo Park's career over the last ten years and having already seen several unbeatable live performances, I was excited to see how they'd evolved since the last time I caught them back in 2010. The Institute is the perfect setting for their typically decadent offering and the room fills up quickly despite the early Friday night start time. |

Tewkesbury ska-punkers [Spunge] have been touring relentlessly since their formation nearly 20 years ago. Despite never breaking into the mainstream, they have a loyal band of followers and always put on a hell of a show, so it was great to see them returning to Birmingham. |

It's been almost exactly two years since Less Than Jake's last UK tour, and it's always exciting to see them return. As one of the most energetic, entertaining, and downright fun bands around, they have a habit of delivering performances that put them in a class of their own. Needless to say, I couldn't wait to see what they could do this time round. |
