I have to say, at the outset, that up until the week of this gig I have never listened to any output by the main band on this tour. They had been recommended to me by my stepson who is a big fan. So I gave them a listen and, apart from the early more screamy stuff I really quite liked them. So it was with a certain amount of anticipation that myself and said stepson turned up to Leeds Beckett for Deaf Havana. |

As A Day To Remember are due to take to the stage Eminem - Lose Yourself was blasted through the speakers; ensue the crowd erupting with noise and everyone having a giant sing along. For a moment I thought I was at another gig. The lights went down and then BOOM! Confetti greeted the crowd together with deafening screams. A taste of things to come. |

Another year of Slam Dunk, another year of flitting between stages and attempting to avert the eyes from the tiny denim shorts and the flesh they are revealing in 80% of their wearers. Tattoos a plenty are on show. The boys are a mix of sleek quiffs, emo hair and long tresses, whilst the girls bring the colour to the hair from vintage rockabilly looks to straight up grunge, with a few corsets and heels for good measure. |
