Gig Review and photography by Noradila Nordin
I first came across The Fallen State when attending 3 Doors Down concert last November where The Fallen State was one of the opening acts and I become a fan since then. When they announced their tour, I just knew that I must attend and so I did! They owned the stage!
There were 2 opening acts before the main stage, Departed and Liberty Lies taking the stage by storm at 7:30-8:00pm and 8:30-9:00pm. I’ve never heard of them before but been checking them out since I got back from the gig. Their songs are the familiar kind of British rock (which is my favourite!).
There were more people coming in around 9:00pm, straight for The Fallen State whom performed at 9:30pm. When they got on stage, everyone was excited! The band we’ve been waiting for! They started with Hope in Revival before singing the new songs from their new album, The View From Ruin.
The fans couldn’t help but to get the wall of death going for several songs. During one of the song, Ben asked the fans to squat down and then jumped together! They really know how to make the gig more exciting!
When the song Nova was on, everyone sang together! Must say, that’s my favourite song of theirs!
The gig ended around 10:30pm. Overall, it was a good gig. It was nice to see The Fallen State performing in an intimate venue, very closed up.
