After recently coming off tour with 5 Seconds of Summer, tonight, The Aces embark on their very first headline tour of the EU/UK. Bringing their first sold out UK date to the Hare & Hounds in Birmingham. For those of you who don’t know The Aces, they are made up of sisters Cristal (lead vocals/guitar) and Alisa Ramirez (drummer) along with Guitarist Katie Henderson and Bassist McKenna Petty.

Now if you’ve never been the Hare & Hounds in Birmingham it’s a Grade II listed building full of character, the pub has a downstairs area and the upstairs level hosts two live music venues where the line of “Aces” are queuing to get in and up the stairs with pints in hand.

The girls take to the stage cutting through the crowd via the front side door and start the night off with ‘Stay’ taken from their debut album ‘When My Heart Felt Volcanic’. Throughout the night each of the girls took turns to speak with the audience and express their gratitude for being able to do a headline shows, and thanked the audience for coming down and selling the place out.

Half way through the set The Aces performed their most recent track ‘Last One’, personally I was hoping for Jelly Bears to come out of nowhere (like the music video) but alas that didn’t happen. They followed this up with ‘Volcanic Love’ which had the audience continuously signing along with every word.

The Aces self-released their first single ‘Stuck’ which landed them spots on ‘Artists To Watch’ in 2017 across various magazines. Tonight they finish their set with the hit track ending the night on a high with a lot of happy singing faces in the crowd, it also got everyone dancing and personally I don’t think it will be long before these girls are playing in much larger venues across the UK. They are definitely ones to watch.
