Frank Turner Anyone who knows me will know I love a good name drop so let’s get that out of the way first. I was lucky enough to be involved with a live interview with Frank Turner on Sine FM the afternoon of the gig. I mention this not only for shameful name dropping but also because one of the things we touched on was support acts for the tour. Catfish and the Bottlemen So even though it’s the biggest venue in my home town (4000 capacity give or take) I’m not a huge fan of The Dome. It just seems the wrong shape and bands have often struggled with the sound there. It is after all a sports hall. I’ve seen Weller, Manics, Levellers, Faithless and The Beautiful South struggle there. The only band I’ve seen really nail it have been Kasabian. The Bohicas The Bohicas are rock’s latest offering, consisting of lead singer Dominic McGuinness, Dominic John on guitar, bassist Ady Acolatse and Brendan Heaney on drums. Hot on the heels of the release of their debut album, ‘The Making Of’, The Bohicas are playing at The Dome, Tufnell Park tonight for the last U.K. stop of their headline tour. Building on success after success, from having supported acts such as Franz Ferdinand and Royal Blood in the past, to being nominated at this year’s Q Awards for Best New Act, there’s a buzz surrounding The Bohicas and it's sounding pretty sweet.

Jake Bugg Setting a shed alight... a night at Doncaster Dome with Jake Bugg. Don’t worry, this is not about physically setting fire to the garden shed. It’s about music – and great music at that. As is often the case with venues today, Doncaster Dome is a bit of a shed... a nice shed with bars and toilets, but a shed never the less! Tonight however that shed was set alight and set alight in great style by not just one, but three class acts.
