The Coral Originally part of the Britpop scene The Coral, starting out around 1996, the band have released a number of top 40 albums and singles to match and they have a new album out, 'Move Through The Dawn' So hopefully tonight will be a miix of old and new, which is not a chore as, remarkably, the new album is really very good and worth of any self respecting music fans ears.

Ocean Colour Scene The Leadmill in Sheffield is undoubtedly the city's most iconic venue. A blazing hot weekend in August has seen the Leadmill host a trio of massive outdoor gigs at the Don Valley Bowl, just outside of the city centre. I arrived on the Sunday for the third of these shows with a song in my heart and a few extra pounds round my waist. It has been a summer of indulgence...

Beyond The Tracks 2017 The second day of the first ever Beyond The Tracks Festival brought some big-name bands to the heart of Birmingham, including Ocean Colour Scene, Maxïmo Park, The Coral and The Twang. Eastside City Park is a relatively small plot of land, just beyond the tracks (surprise, surprise) that lead a steady stream of trains in and out of New Street Station. The set-up felt rather like a fireworks events, with several fairground rides and food & drink stalls, along with the autumnal (but mostly dry!) weather.

V Festival Weston Park Stafford If day one was all about catching an eclectic mix artists (and in hindsight having one too many beers) day two was about the golden oldies with the likes of the ‘Charlatans’, ‘Weller’ and the ‘Phonics’ all performing. The sun had his hat on, pass was securely round my neck and all was right with the World – it was gonna be a good un!
