Y Not Festival 2018 After losing a battle with the Great British Summer™ in 2017, Y Not Festival rolled into 2018 with a main-stage line up so compellingly star-studded that it seemed like a shoe-in for redemption this time around. Reverend and the Makers, Razorlight, Manic Street Preachers, The Libertines, Catfish and the Bottlemen, The Kaiser Chiefs, The Wombats and Jamiroquai topped the billing, supported by a solid cast of acts across six stages and four days.

APE Presents Victoria Park is a place that the locals of the area visit for lovely runs, dog walks and picnic dates. It’s a truly tranquil and enjoyable place that people come to relax. So it would have been a bit of a shock for those on their daily dog walk to see their path cut short by the large installation that is All Points East. In the festival’s first year running, the opening weekend went down a storm. Today, Victoria park was jam packed full of festival goers ready to see the incredibly popular Catfish and the Bottlemen.

Boardmasters 2017 A daunting multi-coloured ocean of tents packed a claustrophobic multitude of fields. The scenic hillside of Watergate Bay welcomed over 50,000 festival goers to its glorious grass banks, as the Cornish coastline hosted Britain’s beloved surf and music festival, Boardmasters with a full lineup including Jamiroquai , Alt J, Stormzy, Frank Turner, Two Door Cinema Club and many more....

The Amazons Interview We do this stuff at GJ.HQ because we LOVE music. It makes it so much nicer when you’re interviewing somebody who you have an instant affinity with. That was there in droves when I spoke to Matt Thompson, the lead singer of the band that everyone is talking about, The Amazons. A genuinely nice guy. Enjoying a well earned ‘sloth day’ and sporting only boxers and tee (thankfully it was a telephone interview) we chatted about all things music, marketing and mayhem!

The Amazons The Amazons’ first show of 2017 was a short set before a tiny audience at the BBC’s Maida Vale Studios for Radio 1’s Future Festival. They’re now poised to hit the road for the following dates which include a London show at Dingwalls and a homecoming gig at Reading’s Sub89.
