Bingley Music Live 2018 After climbing an unreasonably large hill to arrive at the Bingley Music Live festival site, I emerged into the beautiful West Yorkshire sunshine just as the Lightning Seeds were closing out their set. Songs such as Life of Riley and Change provide a certain nostalgic satisfaction, but these tracks haven't aged particularly well, and the omission of Three Lions is keenly felt by all in attendance.

Foals FANTASTIC FOALS! Yannis Philippakis & his Foals are flying right now. The radio & media cannot get enough of their new album, ‘What Went Down’. After winning the NME ‘Best Album 2016’ & “smashing” Wembley a few nights before, I was on the edge of my seat in anticipation for a storming show. I was not let down! It was to be an exhibition of their versatility as they stride closer to confirmation as one of the UK’s best ever bands.

Bombay Bicycle Club It’s been two years since Bombay Bicycle Club graced Wolverhampton with their presence, and the marked change in sound and pace since their 2011 album ‘A Different Kind of Fix’ was pretty evident tonight, playing a set mostly comprising of their newer, heavier, electro and in parts R&B influenced material from their latest album ‘So Long, See You Tomorrow’. Things have certainly evolved for this London 4-piece, with each of their 4 albums carrying the progression of UK indie with them, and who seem to be one of the most inventive indie bands around right now.
