Lissie At an old cinema in Dalston, London, hundreds of music lovers descend through the horrid rain on a Monday to bare witness to one of music’s purest voices. The spectacular Lissie headlines EartH, one of the greatest venues in London. Only on this occasion, the strings wouldn’t be cutting through her fingers. Instead the keys would be pressed by another’s hands as we see the beautiful contrast and translation as we hear her most familiar songs in a retrospective tour, translated on piano.

Album Review: Live At Union Chapel - Lissie Little do artists manage to pull off live albums when removing the protection of the production that goes into making a record. There’s no edits, no time for adjustments, no fancy auto-tune. It’s just you, the pressure of an audience, a few instruments and a microphone. You’re in the spotlight, simple. Stripped back, an unpretentious Lissie bares little thought to an uninspiring album title ‘Lissie – Live At Union Chapel’, her raw and minimalist ways show she needs no introduction, no falsity, no fresh record label bullsh*t. The London gig was sold out.

Lissie Lissie. Ahhhhh lovely Lissie, or as she's more formally known Elisabeth Maurus. You can't help but like the girl from Illinois, with her flowing blonde hair and inviting smile, It helps that she's got an array of absolute belting tunes too! "Happy Halloween" Lissie greeted the eclectic crowd who ranged from Radio 2 oldies, through to lip pierced Kerrangies as she opened with 'Here Before' - a melodic slow burner which from her 2009 EP 'Why are you Runnin?". Smashing.
