Curtis Harding It was after a hellish 16 hour long coach trip to Paris when I discovered Curtis Harding. Tired and weary from making the trek to see Lenny Kravitz in the summer, before he announced the UK leg and I thought was my last chance to see him I threw heck to the wind and purchased tickets without regard to travel arrangements or how I'd feel when I already a heavy week of gigs booked in. However Lenny’s support was a ray of sunshine that woke me up instantly, his catchy lyrics and stage presence immediately caught my attention and the short set that won the audience over left me eager to listen to more of this talented young man and his band.

Maddie and Tae Maddie & Tae are a country music singer-songwriter duo, Madison Marlow and Taylor Dye from the US. They met when they were still teenagers and been together since. They had their first break through, reaching number 1 on the country charts with their debut single, “Girl In A Country Song”. Their success continued with the released of their debut album “Start Here”, reaching number 7 on the Billboard Top 200 and number 2 on the country charts. Dean With the sudden appearance of DEAN supporting fellow Club Eskimo crew member Crush on his show in London last year, fans were left with hopes, anticipating DEAN’s to have his own European Tour one day. Dreams do come true! Rebels (the fandom name) rejoiced when London was announced as one of the stops! DEAN, a talented South Korean singer songwriter, together with Club Eskimo crew members MISO and 2xxx!, and SAAY, performed a two-days shows on Saturday and a sold out Sunday, leaving fans to an unforgettable weekend!

Coheed and Cambria This power-house American prog-rock band Coheed and Cambria performed their 2005 smash-album, “Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness” in its entirety at KOKO, London on an absolutely sweltering Monday night as part of their “The NEVERENDER GAIBSIV” tour. To see a band, play an entire album from start to finish is a unique experience and a first for me. The second night of two London dates was attended by a lot of clearly obsessively dedicated fans which nearly packed out the 1500 capacity venue.

The Lemon Twigs We’ve all heard of The Lemon Twigs by now, right? They’ve been the band on everyone’s lips since last summer, and the hype only got louder upon the release of debut LP ‘Do Hollywood’ last October. At tonight’s sold out show, KOKO buzzes with anticipation; pre-show conversations largely consists of brags about seeing them before they got so big, or musing over the young band’s anachronistic influences, a blend of Big Star’s jangly pop and David Bowie’s glam.

Cancer Bats As Camden greet Canada’s Cancer Bats to Koko’s stage, vocalist Liam Cormier tells the crowd “[he has] a feeling that we're gonna have the greatest party ever”, and it would seem he’s not wrong. They take no time to launch into ‘Bricks & Mortar’, riffing their way through the track and indeed, the entire set with a live clarity which many other hardcore bands lack.
