Miles Kane As a patriotic Brummie I don’t tend to venture too deeply into the unchartered town centre of ‘Cov’ as it’s affectionally called by the locals, because well, they pretty much don’t like us! The lure of a certain Mr Miles Kane however was too strong. So, with geographical allegiances firmly put aside for the evening and disguise well and truly ‘donned’ it was all systems go with a short trip along the Coventry Road!

Foxes As we entered Kasbah Nightclub, this venue was a little different to many… I was pretty certain they’d mopped the floor with glue, cue worrying that the soles of my shoes would be ripped from them every time I wanted to move. Whilst awaiting the lovely Foxes, an exceedingly drunken and tall lady made sure to use me as a leaning post… until the lights dimmed and she ran to the front screaming to welcome Foxes onto stage.

Taking Back Sunday It’s always nice when you can walk to the gig. I didn't but that's beside the point. I could have. I've seen a few gigs here over the last 15yrs; New Found Glory in the main room, Therapy, The Ataris in the side room with sweat and condensation dripping off the ceiling due to the heat, too many bodies and a storming show.
