Fresh off entertaining gig-goers at Glastonbury, Tim Burgess and co. arrived in a sunny Manchester to face a small but noisy crowd, ready to celebrate the heydays of indie music.

Clean Bandit Clean Bandit have enjoyed quite a run recently; I’d say winning the Grammy Award this year for Best Dance Recording has only brightened the spotlight already shining on them as a result of storming the pop charts. At Gig Junkies, we couldn’t resist the opportunity to see how they group would translating such success into a tour.

Cast Does anyone else miss Britpop? As a staunch fan of the likes of Oasis, Blur, The Stone Roses, The Charlatans and countless more It's something I think about often. The wealth of songwriting talent emerging from Britain at that time, the number of working class bands inspiring a generation to dream big and strive for something better and the incredible catalogue of timeless British music it produced made it a truly golden era. The recent reunion of The Stone Roses and the constant threat of an Oasis reformation only prove there's still hunger for it and a lingering loyal fan base. It's no wonder that one of Britpop's finest, Cast, have been back on the road and playing all the old hits for ecstatic audiences.
