The Libertines The Libertines rocked into Birmingham Barclaycard arena as if it was no different from any of the smaller venues they had previously played, performing with the energy that was longed for during the ten years that passed before 'Anthems for Doomed Youth' emerged onto the scene late last year.

The Libertines The Libertines were back on form for a reunion gig that saw a set list of 24 classics, numerous stops for dangerous crowd crushes and various displays of Doherty/Barat love-ins. The day’s line-up (over six stages) was a throwback to the band’s heydey, with sets from the likes of The Enemy, The Rifles and Maximo Park, and the general vibe of the day was one of late 90’s, early 2000’s indie, think Liam Gallagher-style hair dos and parkers galore.
