Wiley Tonight’s headliner Wiley had a share of the spotlight back in the noughties, with a few crossover hits- most memorably ‘Wearing My Rolex’- but tonight he forgoes older songs to focus his new album, ‘Godfather’. It makes sense; this new era of mainstream grime is not filtered for pop radio as it was in the mid-00s, but is more intense, more direct and more, well, grime.

Skepta Skepta has had a rollercoaster of a year so far! TWENTY ØNE PILØTS Twenty One Pilots is a band consisting of members Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun. Renowned for their theatrical and spectacular live shows, the duo has brought their “Emotional Roadshow World Tour” for two sold-out shows in London’s Alexandra Palace! Following a couple of self-released albums and several years of touring, the band achieved major success after the release of their fourth album, “Blurryface”. Since then, the duo has also become well known for their track “Heathens”, which featured in the soundtrack of Warner Bros.’ Suicide Squad movie, released earlier this year. With the fans having sold-out tonight’s show literally within seconds when the tickets were released, they no doubt expected a show to remember and they weren’t disappointed!

Birdy Birdy is a singer/songwriter, who at just 20 years old has already been nominated for both a Brit Award and a Grammy Award. Having had success across the world, 2016 has been a great year so far for Birdy. Earlier in the year, she released her third album, ‘Beautiful Lies’, which reached number 4 in the UK Albums Chart and tonight she brings her headline tour to the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith.

Modern Baseball It might be freezing outside Electric Ballroom on this cold February night, but the temperature is rising inside in anticipation for Modern Baseball. It’s hard to tell whether this audience, full of new-school emos and pop punk fans, have removed their uniform plaid shirts and tied them around their waists in order to cool down, or just for aesthetic purposes. Either way, it’s been a while since the band played on a UK stage, and their fans are understandably excited.

Anne-Marie Anne-Marie is one of the few, (if not only) three-time world champions in Shotokan karate, touring across the UK at the moment! A singer/songwriter from Essex, she has spent the last couple of years touring with Rudimental as a live vocalist and has even appeared in the West End many years before that, alongside Jessie J in ‘Whistle Down the Wind’. Having released her debut EP, ‘Karate’, earlier in 2015, her debut album is set to release later this year, with all paths having led to tonight, the final night of her debut headline tour.

Bloc Party Bloc Party are back! Following a two year hiatus and a line-up change, Bloc Party are now comprised of original members Kele Okereke on lead vocals/rhythm guitar and Russell Lissack on lead guitar as always, but now with the addition of Louise Bartle on drums and Justin Harris on bass. With anticipation for Bloc Party’s fifth album, “Hymns”, at an all-time high following the release of lead single “The Love Within”, the band are here tonight at the Church of St John at Hackney, for the final intimate show of their European tour.
