Reef This album is a real, real mixed bag. From the opening track and album title, Revelation, you would be expecting a real rock n roll hyped up ride, indeed the opening track sounds a little like an AC/DC cover. It’s not, but it certainly has strains of the aussie rockers. This is no bad thing, but it belies what else is coming on the album. You see, what follows is a fabulous blend of Rock n Roll, Blues, Southern Country Rock and indeed gospel.

Reef Back in post Grunge 90s, a time which is fondly referred to as the Britpop era, Reef - although nowhere near as fashionable as the likes of Blur and Oasis - were definitely one of the bands to see live due to their immense energy, pure rock and stage presence, not to mentioned the plethora of catchy riff laden tunes. Coupled with the amazing vocal talents of Gary Stringer and his raucous growling south-western drawl made them a class act. Then, like that, they were gone. Caput. Not a sausage was heard.

Reef Ladies up and down the country clamour to obtain the miracle anti aging cream that Gary Stringer and the boys from Reef have evidently using during their self imposed hiatus from the music scene for the past 7 years... A spokesman for the band refused to comment on the boys lack of aging, although reports are now in that they have been adopting some vehicular method of cheating the space/time continuum. Evidently this vehicle must have been a 3 seater, as the aging process has been a little less kind to the Bass player Jack Bessant.
