The War On Drugs There are hoards of people, all dressed in some iteration of the indie rock uniform- black drainpipes, long, black coats, curly, unkempt hair- making a pilgrimage to Ally Pally for tonight’s show.

BBC Music Introducing BBC Music Introducing... is, somehow, already celebrating its tenth birthday. In that decade, legions of young artists have been given the opportunity of a lifetime- to be played on primetime radio. For some of them, it led them to stardom, and for many, it is just about to. Tonight is a celebration of that fact.

Pale Honey With a solid debut album under Pale Honey’s belt, one thing is clear about follow-up ‘Devotion’ from the offset: the two-piece have found their feet. Sparse indie rock is the mainstay across the record, from understated opener ‘Replace Me’ to ‘Golden’, in which their brand of agitated rock shines.

BST - The Killers There is one thought that seems to unite the sold-out crowd gathered in Hyde Park for today's headliners The Killers: that it is exceptionally hot. The sun is drenching everything at British Summer Time, from the gloriously decorated Great Oak Stage to the dozens of food spots and bars.

The Lemon Twigs We’ve all heard of The Lemon Twigs by now, right? They’ve been the band on everyone’s lips since last summer, and the hype only got louder upon the release of debut LP ‘Do Hollywood’ last October. At tonight’s sold out show, KOKO buzzes with anticipation; pre-show conversations largely consists of brags about seeing them before they got so big, or musing over the young band’s anachronistic influences, a blend of Big Star’s jangly pop and David Bowie’s glam.

Wiley Tonight’s headliner Wiley had a share of the spotlight back in the noughties, with a few crossover hits- most memorably ‘Wearing My Rolex’- but tonight he forgoes older songs to focus his new album, ‘Godfather’. It makes sense; this new era of mainstream grime is not filtered for pop radio as it was in the mid-00s, but is more intense, more direct and more, well, grime.

City and Colour It’s possible that the Troxy is the London venue most suited to a City and Colour show: it’s a grand, beautiful theatre, with perfect views from practically everywhere and a romantic, art deco colour scheme that is as calming and soft as Dallas Green’s voice.

Modern Baseball It might be freezing outside Electric Ballroom on this cold February night, but the temperature is rising inside in anticipation for Modern Baseball. It’s hard to tell whether this audience, full of new-school emos and pop punk fans, have removed their uniform plaid shirts and tied them around their waists in order to cool down, or just for aesthetic purposes. Either way, it’s been a while since the band played on a UK stage, and their fans are understandably excited.

Halsey Halsey shows up late, and fashionably: she slips onto the stage in a white, faux-fur jacket, embodying her debut album cover. Opening with ‘Gasoline’, she asks Brixton, “Are you insane like me? Been in pain like me?” and the crowd sing along with enough conviction to answer her question.

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard Scala was sweaty even before King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard came onstage. In typical London fashion, everybody was complaining about the tube strike and the fact it is far too hot in the capital. Thankfully, the sold-out room shut up as soon as King Gizzard jumped onstage, a snug fit for the seven-piece.

Incubus Perhaps it’s the summer heat outside, or maybe the fact that Incubus were due onstage half an hour ago, but Hammersmith Apollo is bubbling with excitement. It has been a number of years since the Californian band were at the height of their popularity, but tonight their return is more than welcome. It’s been three years since they performed in London, and the crowd, full of hardcore fans and nostalgic 20-somethings, are more than up for it.

Courtney Barnett Courtney Barnett has come a long way over the last 18 months. The sudden worldwide success of double EP ‘A Sea Of Split Peas’ left her touring the same old setlist, despite having her debut album largely finished by the summer of last year. But now ‘Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit’ is finally here, and she is ready to unleash a newfound energy on her audience.
