The Seventh Wave In March of 2017 the second ‘The Seventh Wave Festival of Electronic Music’ takes place across four days and across three venues. The stellar ‘live’ line-up includes members of one of the most influential early industrial acts Test Dept., revered ‘Kraut-rock’ and electronica collective Gnod, Tubeway Army member Chris Payne (who co-wrote ‘Fade to Grey’ by Visage), DJ Rusty Egan of Visage fame (put simply, with-out Rusty Egan there would be no Steve Strange) and Richard Barbieri (currently of Porcupine Tree but he cut his teeth as the highly respected synth player for new wave pioneers Japan in the 1980’s).

The Pretty Reckless The Pretty Reckless were formed in 2009 and perhaps best known for their single 'Make Me Wanna Die' which reached the #20 in the UK charts back in 2010. Now they are currently touring the UK in support of the band’s third album release 'Who You Selling For' and Birmingham’s O2 Institute was sold out for their return to the city since 2014.

SNFU Tonight’s gig in Birmingham is the 5th gig of SNFU’s 33-date ‘Euro Frostbite Tour 2017’. They are a seasoned band, having formed in 1981, with singer Ken Chinn (Mr. Chi Pig) being the only original member left in the current lineup. SNFU’s sound has had various labels, from skate punk to melodic hardcore. Even though they hail from Canada, they have a similar sound to a lot of West Coast punk groups from the 90s era and are cited with influencing groups such as fellow Canadians D.O.A.

James TW Squeezing through a packed Brummy crowd, fresh faced James TW emerged from a very glamorous side door and hopped onto the stage ready for action at The Sunflower Lounge, Birmingham. Grabbing his guitar and bursting straight into 'Naked' almost immediately his voice was on top form from the get go, effortlessly gliding through trills and runs with ease much to the delight of the already excited crowd.
