Echo and the Bunnymen One of the bands of the alternative 80s, these guys with their haunting melodies and lead singer's trademark outspoken comments - 1984's 'Ocean Rain' was "the greatest album ever made" he declared at the time, these Liverpudlians made the charts their home. And 30 odd years on they are still out and about, still masses of dry ice and darkened image, tonight in Wolverhampton welcome Echo and the Bunnymen.

James Bay I won’t deny, I was a bit of a sceptic of James Bay before attending his gig at The Leadmill, Sheffield on Thursday night. Sure, I knew his hit ‘Hold Back The River’, but it was hard not to, considering its popularity on the radio, reaching number two in the UK, with over sixty-four million listens on Spotify (a large percentage of which had taken place in my flat, by my infatuated friends).

BAND OF HORSES Nascar, the Bible Belt, Fried Chicken, Grits, The Atlanta Braves, Martin Luther King, Coca Cola. You get the picture. Great things from the delight that is South of the good old US of A. Well, you can now add to this iconic list of American greats Band of Horses, a five piece rock country outfit whom I'm not heard hide nor hair of till a bitterly cold Friday evening in Brum at the end of January 2011.
