King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard Thunderous drums fill a HUGE room in North London to a sold out crowd. The sound is extra fat and dirty coming from not one, but two powerhouse drummers. Low, ball destroying guitars erupt to tease spectators. A little break. And a whirlwind of chaos sends everyone into one of the biggest mosh pit I’ve ever seen at London’s Alexandra Palace. There is no mercy. There are no points for second place. You either give it your all, or leave. THAT, my friends, is the effect of Australia’s finest band at the moment. I am, of course, talking about King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard.

Good Charlotte "Who has been listening to Good Charlotte for a long ass time? We’ve grown up together haven’t we? Let’s go back…" Good Charlotte performed the final show of the European leg of the Generation Rx tour Wednesday night at the iconic Alexandra Palace. Surprisingly, it was their biggest show in the UK since the band formed in 1996. Although the show wasn’t sold out, the grand venue was chock-full of atmosphere and pop punk devotees sticking to the unofficial dress code of a hoodie and vans ready for an alternative night to sitting at home watching the Brit Awards.

Chronixx This was my first time seeing Chronixx live, as much as I had admired his music over the years, through a series of events, timing and life just happening I always missed out the opportunity. Not tonight, having scaled that breath taking hill in a figurative sense to get to Alexander Palace or as the locals like to call it Ally Pally, I knew I was in for a treat with the amount of dreadlock bearing folks that I saw on my way up. The atmosphere was very carnival, every facet of your senses are being used, the smell of the flavoursome variety of Jamaican food, the plethora of colours that we have come to expect from Jamaican Fashionistas.

Renowned for their theatrical and spectacular live shows, the duo has brought their “Emotional Roadshow World Tour” for two sold-out shows in London’s Alexandra Palace! Florence + the Machine Alexandra Palace is always a magical venue feeling in part like an indoor music festival and part like a museum with its impressive cavernous ceilings and stain glassed windows. It’s cool yet classic and almost gothic feel makes it the perfect venue for a Florence and the Machine show with front lady Flo encompassing a similar dichotomy of classical and quirky in her performances.

The Libertines So to the noughties band that were hey, a tad naughty. Critical acclaim took these indie-punks to the edge of the world, more than quite literally. As their star began to shine, these guys bickered and argued, one becoming the tabloid’s car crash of dream ticket as he fell into a drug oblivion.  So it is more than quite remarkable that these guys have survived to 2014, dabbling with Hyde Park over the summer and now to a trio of dates at the Ally Pally. Welcome tonight to the band who few predicted would have made it this far - welcome indeed to The Libertines.
