OnBlackheath I headed to leafy south-east London this past weekend for one of the last summer festivals, OnBlackheath. The festival is sponsored by John Lewis and its fourth year. What makes the festival different is that it caters for all ages. A sea of families, running toddlers, strollers and Hello Kitty balloons welcomed me. With an array of activities to keep the children occupied, if I had any, this would also be a festival I would comfortable take them to.

SLAM DUNK FESTIVAL 2017 Kicking off in Birmingham on Saturday 27th May, the festival will travel to Leeds on Sunday 28th May before finishing up in Hatfield on Monday 29th May, once again ensuring the Slam Dunk Festival Bank Holiday Weekend is the only place to be to catch the finest in alternative music.

The Amazons The Amazons’ first show of 2017 was a short set before a tiny audience at the BBC’s Maida Vale Studios for Radio 1’s Future Festival. They’re now poised to hit the road for the following dates which include a London show at Dingwalls and a homecoming gig at Reading’s Sub89.

The Stranglers The Men in Black return early next year as The Stranglers announce they will be back on the road again in March 2017. Following the sell-out success of their Black and White Tour in March last year, the group will, this time, present the Classic Collection to coincide with the planned re-release of the entire Stranglers studio album catalogue from the period 1977-82.
