SHVPES

SHVPES are fast becoming one of the most talked-about young metal acts in the UK. The Birmingham based five-piece have risen in the industry since the release of the debut EP, The Prosecutor.

SHVPES

The band took to the stage and broke out into their most recent single ‘State Of Mine’, which automatically got the crowd moving. They followed up with ‘Cold Caller’ and ‘Bone Theory’.

SHVPES

The energetic performance was well received and vocalist Griffin asked for a wall of death he got one, and in return he went over the barrier twice to sing amongst the fans.

SHVPES

They finished their set of with self-titled track ‘Shapes’, this was the first single to feature new vocalist Griffin Dickinson when they band change names and propelled them  band too new heights, This is defiantly a band to watch out for especially with their debut album due for release very soon.

Nothing More

Up next was the band that everyone was waiting for, the four-piece from San Antonio, TX Nothing More. As Jonny, Daniel and Mark took to the stage the place erupted.

Nothing More

They played ‘MR MTV’, ‘Christ Copyright’, ‘If I Were’ all from their latest self-titled record. They also played popular track ‘Jenny’ and ‘This Is The Time’ bringing the volume and energy in the room up to the max, the whole room was bouncing off the band’s energy.

Nothing More

Then, just when you thought it couldn’t get any better they had a mounted guitar on (I don’t know what you’d call it) stand, turntable. Daniel and Mark started off both playing the guitar simultaneously before Daniel swung the guitar around on this contraption they had it mounted too.  Then Jonny, Dan and Mark all start playing it together. Jonny hitting the sticks on the bass of the guitar and the other two fretting the strings creating the most interesting sounds. It really was a mesmerising performance to watch the guitar being spun around, flipped over while all three members played.

Nothing More

In my opinion this band should be playing much bigger stages, hopefully this will happen and we’ll be seeing them again very soon.
