When Noel Gallagher comes to town – be it yesteryear with his brother and their sibling rivalry, or more recently with his High Flying Birds, it’s always an event. Tonight was no exception.

Following swiftly on from the release of his groundbreaking album ‘Who Built The Moon?’, Noel once more found himself performing at Birmingham’s Arena, and as is now customary he treated the audience to all of his newest and most exciting tunes as well as a carefully honed selection of Oasis favourites.

In his 22 song set there was something for everyone, fans new and old. From ‘Holy Mountain’ through to the delectible ‘If I had a Gun’ through to a glorious rendition of ‘Little by Little’ from his Oasis days, he once more proved that whilst being in his 50s, he’s still got!

The obviously finale was ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ a song that now means so much and has become a staple finisher for his live gigs.
