Well we’ve all sung along – be it ‘Geno’ or ‘ Come On Eileen’ and now Dexys are back in the Midlands with a special performance at Coventry’s Kasbah on Wednesday 25 June; their first show in the city for over 30 years as part of a trio of intimate shows before making their Glastonbury debut days later.

Intimate Nights with Dexys

Founded way back in Brum in ’78 and still fronted by Wolverhampton-born Kevin Rowland, Dexys are returning to the region where their incredible journey began and the band will feature special guest,  former Bananarama and Shakespears Sister, Siobhan Fahey.

Dexy’s sensational ‘One Day I’m Going To Soar’ live show, which followed the release of the 2012 album of the same name, their first in 22 years, was hailed as a tour de force by fans and music critics alike.

Speaking ahead of the Coventry show, frontman Kevin Rowland said, “The performance will be the festival set – a slightly edited version of the One Day I’m Going To Soar Show, plus a few Dexy’s favourites. Sadly, Madeleine Hyland is unable to do the shows, but we are delighted that Siobhan Fahey will step in to play the female role.”
