Esprit D’Air returned as a trio with the members, Kai, Ellis and Daishi to announce their upcoming new single ‘Guiding Light’ due to release on 12 April after the successful released of ‘Rebirth’ in late 2016, their first single in four years.

Supporting acts were These Thousand Hills from West Sussex, Lightscape from Norwich and Bexatron from London. Lightscape caught my attention with their catchy vocal and I recommend checking them out! The crowd started to fill up the venue over time and by the time Esprit D’Air got on stage at around 9:20pm, it was packed and everyone was ready to enjoy Japanese rock!

The day before the gig, Kai announced that the trio will be joined by Ryo to perform with them.  Esprit D’Air performed two new songs from their upcoming album ‘Guiding Light’. The fans clearly enjoying themselves, getting the taste of the unreleased songs before the actual released date. They loved the new songs!

Throughout the gig, the fans can be seen jumping, head banging, and hands in the air to the music. It was phenomenal!  When it ended, the fans still wanted more. Despite the loud chanting, there was no encore because of the curfew.

The venue has a 10pm curfew which really is a shame – it was still too early especially on a Friday night. The venue is not my favourite to photograph but to get close and personal with the bands, it’s one of the good ones. The staffs were really friendly as well. I’ve always been meaning to see Esprit D’Air performing live, and it was far more exciting than I expected! Impressive performance!
