Ella Eyre

From originally featuring on Bastille’s cover of ‘Scrubs’ with The XX’s ‘Angels’ (No Angels) the West London singer songwriter Ella Eyre has made it to number one in the UK charts featuring on Rudimental’s ‘Waiting All Night’ and has also featured alongside Wiz Khalifa and Tinie Tempah.

Since then she’s been nominated for a number of awards and won single of the year at the Brits with ‘Waiting All Night’ in 2014, won Best Newcomer at the MOBO Awards, and was runner up to Sam Smith as the BBC’s Sound of 2014.

The 21 year old’s supporting performance at the Barclaycard Arena was full of energy and excitement – she definitely got the crowd pumped up ready for Olly Murs with her incredible powerful vocals. She had great interactions with the audience so despite the fact that she hasn’t yet released her album and many may not have known all of the words, she still got a great response from the crowd and got them up dancing along.

She got fantastic engagement from the audience to the hits that people did know, particularly ‘Gravity’ and ‘If I Go – and her dancing on stage did not impact her vocals one bit – a pure raw talent.

As well as her own songs, she also stepped back in to perform Demi Levato’s part in ‘Up’ with Murs and she absolutely smashed it – the song suited her voice so well and the pair together had great on stage chemistry. Definitely one to be excited about and to see live.
