Three Days Grace Three Days Grace are one of those bands that I've binged from an early age. After first discovering them in 2004 watching the film Raise Your Voice (and proceeding to begging my mum to take me to Virgin Megastore to buy their self-titled debut album), they've been a band that I've had in my playlists for the last 14 years, but never managed to catch live.

Halestorm About 8 years ago I was completely blown away by a voice that captured everyone inside an arena within 30 seconds - completely acapella. It gave everybody goose bumps and stopped them in their tracks - and the performer wasn’t even on stage yet. It was an offstage intro from Lzzy Hale from Halestorm and it had everyone mesmerised from the get go. 8 years and 4 albums later and they have lost none of that ability to instantly capture a room full of people. If anything, that ability is even stronger now with a catalogue of incredible tracks to choose from.

Garbage Let me begin with a word on the venue. Digbeth Arena is not an arena. That would be too grandiose a term for what is essentially a small space between a railway track and a old viaduct. The enclosed nature of the space acts as a natural amphitheatre that results in possibly the best sound quality I have ever heard at any gig. In short, this is a dream performance space for any artist worth their salt. In Birmingham, we are treated to three bands worth enough salt to keep the second city in fish and chips for a lifetime...

Theory of a Deadman On the back of their recently released sixth studio album ‘Wake up Tour’ Theory of a Deadman (TOAD) have finally landed in Manchester for the last show of their UK leg of the tour. Tonight they are playing the Manchester Academy 2, a venue that they are well familiar with having played it several times previously. The audience tonight is a great mix of young, old, rockers and regulars but all with one thing in common, their love for TOAD, the room is buzzing with excitement and absolutely packed out to the rafters.

Feeder “25 years of Feeder, eh? Aren’t you sick to death of us!?” exclaimed frontman Grant Nicholas, around half-a dozen songs into a raucous 2-hour set at a sold-out Bristol O2 Academy on Wednesday, 7th March!

Bush If, like me, you are a 30-something who grew up in South Africa, you almost certainly owned a copy of Bush’s ’94 album ‘Sixteen Stone’. You were also most likely a teenage girl with a crush on frontman Gavin Rossdale, or a teenage boy who had to lie about owning said album because you could NEVER listen to both Nirvana AND Bush. So, with Bush tracks dominating the soundtrack of my rebellious and tortured youth (my youth was neither rebellious nor tortured, but it makes me sound cooler than I am), it was with much excitement, and slight trepidation, that I made my way to o2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Tuesday evening, to see the band return to the stage after a couple of year’s absence from touring, with a headline UK show, and a new album to boot.

The Pretty Reckless The Pretty Reckless were formed in 2009 and perhaps best known for their single 'Make Me Wanna Die' which reached the #20 in the UK charts back in 2010. Now they are currently touring the UK in support of the band’s third album release 'Who You Selling For' and Birmingham’s O2 Institute was sold out for their return to the city since 2014.

Goo Goo Dolls They formed this band back in 1986 but it’s hard to believe watching John Rzeznik and Robby Takac who still have the crowd in the palm of their hands like their careers are just beginning. For tonight we're at the 02 Institute in Birmingham to see the Goo Goo Dolls.

Feeder Carving our way through the largely male orientated numbers, we entered the poky venue of Birmingham’s Institute. Scouring the crowd’s features I supposed their fans originated from Feeder's 90’s days, a fairly youthful yet adult crowd awaiting their entrance - the ‘growing up with’ era.

Wolf Alice Birmingham has become something of a second home for London grunge/rock group Wolf Alice. They’ve enjoyed many-a-gig in England’s second city, and their rise in stature and fame is personified through the bigger-sized venues. Tonight’s packed-out gig at the Institute shows just how much the band have been propelled into the mainstream.

Hinder Tonight's show has been a long time coming and one which needed to make a big impression. With a new album "When the smoke clears" and a new front man Marshal Dutton (after the departure of longtime vocalist Austin Winkler), Hinder have two points to prove tonight. Will their following remain loyal and is the new album to same Hinder standard which we all know and love?
