Issues HEAVY! If I were to describe the evening it one word, ‘Heavy’ would definitely be the one I’d go for. Coupled with ‘moshpit’ and ‘sweaty’, you can already get an accurate picture the mayhem that took over The Underworld in Camden on a quiet Thursday night for Issues.

Disturbed The Manchester Apollo was absolutely heaving for the Disturbed show tonight. Not just busy, but absolutely jam packed full of rock fans. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever seen the venue as full as it was for the first of their two nights in the city to close the Evolution World Tour. It was full right from the get-go too due to the support act tonight being the one and only Skindred, who are, in their own rights a massive draw.

Papa Roach Papa Roach's set began with 10 of the most iconic and recognisable words in rock with the explosive intro to ‘Last Resort’, and playing ‘Last’ first was a bit of a masterstroke getting everybody going from the outset.

Incubus “Is Incubus still a band?” is mounted as one of the top 4 Google searches to include the word ‘Incubus’ at the moment, which is interesting considering they’re currently getting ready to wrap their final dates of a world tour, their first in many years. That being said, the atmosphere in tonight’s completely sold out o2 Academy definitively confirms that an army of people in Birmingham never forgot about them for a second.

Of Mice & Men “Welcome to this evening’s medley of metalcore! Ready to mosh? Marvellous.” On Wednesday night the metalheads of Birmingham turned out in force. They welcomed Of Mice & Men with arms wide, whiskey in hand – an army of long-haired lusciousness. Damn, it felt good to be back among my people! The metal community tends to make amazing crowds, and this night was certainly no exception. Both the main band and the support acts were embraced with the fiercest love. If this gig was anything to go by, the final stint of OM&M’s Defy Tour is going to be legendary.

Hollywood Undead The anticipation for tonight's headliners Hollywood Undead is reaching peak levels with the fans singing ‘Everywhere I Go’ to pass time. The sound of opening track ‘Whatever It Takes’ hits the speaker and the banner hiding the stage drops to reveal the band. Taking turns to walk on stage to sing their parts they are greeted to cheers from the crowd. Screams of Undead! fill the venue as the intensity the band are playing with is incredible. For a group that has so many members singing so many different parts they are not missing a beat they work the stage to its max covering every inch of it.

Marc Almond Tonight's artist has just tipped into his sixtieth birthday - which is so many ways is just ridiculous. A chameleon of music - an icon and inspiration - starting off with massive success in the very early 80s, his musical journey has been far and wide, but always with his own unique style. 'Shadows and Reflections' is Marc Almond's new album; and he's here tonight to celebrate it and much more with full orchestra in tow.

Papa Roach It’s sometimes hard to believe how long Papa Roach have been together. Halfway through tonight’s show, lead singer Jacoby Shaddix points out they formed back in 1993 which makes half of the crowd feel very old and the other half realise they weren’t born at the time! They released their 9th album ‘Crooked Teeth’ a few months ago which has received great plaudits from critics and fans hailing it as their best work in a long time!

Linkin Park It's a very warm night as a few thousand head towards Birmingham's Barclaycard Arena. Tonight's main (and only) artists have always kinda divided opinion; like Marmite - you love them or hate them. Their latest offering has also added to that confusion with somewhat of a backlash from the critics. The fans are here in droves, so clearly they don't feel that; so welcome tonight to Bennington, Shinoda and the rest of the chaps who make up Linkin Park, this date part of their 'One More Light' World Tour.

Bullet For My Valentine 10 years has passed since Bullet For My Valentine hit the scene, headlining the Kerrang! Tour and it just so happened they are playing the very same venue again tonight. Alongside that they released their first full release 'The Poison', although tonight's show isn't about that there is definitely a sense of nostalgia with fans new and old in attendance.

Skindred

It's not often you go to a gig that has four acts on in one night, and you can definitely cut that number in half again if you can say that none of them are filler. Well on paper I can definitely say tonight is one of those special cases where we get the later.
